Love like a Rock

Like most moms, I am adore my children.  They are the keys to heart,the smiles to my day,the roses to my garden,the sun to my summer, the apples of my eye. 
They are almost grown now at 22, 17 and 15. I like to think I have been a good mom to them and that we have made lots of wonderful memories.
I was reminded of one such memory last summer when walking around my dry, parched by the Texas heat, backyard. 
When the children were small, we liked to paint rocks and place them in our flower beds.  I even let them plant their own flower garden and make rivers and streams in that garden.  They would spend hours each day playing and building.  That small garden is now mostly weeds and dried up plants but I came across one of our painted rocks.

There it was,resting next to the treesolidfirmLoveand a gentle reminder of days gone by...
Make sure you tell the important people in your life how much you love them and just how special they are.  Not only today, but everyday.
